Privacy Policy
Updated
I. Scope
This Privacy Policy sets out how the Rockysec website handles data received from users, fully in line with Argentine National Law No. 25.326 on the Protection of Personal Data (Habeas Data).
Where users enter personal data or confidential information on the site, they accept this privacy policy and the Terms and conditions of use.
II. What data is collected
This is a static site: there is no database, there are no user accounts and no code runs on the server. As a result:
- No personal data is collected through forms, because the site has none.
- There are no advertising pixels or fingerprinting.
- Google Analytics is used to measure how the site is browsed (see section VII), which sets cookies of its own.
The only personal data that can reach Rockysec directly is what a person voluntarily sends by email to [email protected]. That data is used solely to answer the enquiry, is not added to any commercial database and is not shared with third parties.
As with any internet service, the hosting provider records technical connection data (IP address, user agent, date and time) in its server logs, for security and availability purposes. Rockysec does not access those logs to profile visitors.
III. Sensitive data
Law No. 25.326 establishes that no person can be compelled to provide sensitive data, meaning personal data revealing racial or ethnic origin, political opinions, religious, philosophical or moral beliefs, trade union membership, or information about health or sexual life.
This site neither requests nor processes sensitive data under any circumstances.
IV. Confidentiality
All information received relating to users is confidential and cannot be made public without their prior consent, except for:
- A formal request from judicial authorities.
- A formal request from other authorities with sufficient jurisdiction.
V. Rights of access, rectification, update and deletion
The right of access is one of the rights established by Law No. 25.326, and it allows users to access the information on record and manage how their personal data is used.
Users may:
- Request information about the existence of files, records, databases or data banks holding personal data, their purposes and the identity of those responsible for them.
- Request and obtain information about their personal data held in public or private databases intended to provide reports.
- Request the modification of their personal data when it is incorrect or out of date.
- Request the rectification, update, deletion or confidentiality of the personal data they own.
To exercise any of these rights, write to [email protected].
VI. Minors
Rockysec understands that, from the moment a minor accesses the website, they do so with the permission of their parents, guardian or legal representative.
VII. Third-party services
Google Analytics. The site uses Google Analytics 4 to measure how pages are used: how many visits each article gets, which country or site the traffic comes from, and what device it’s viewed on. For this, Google sets cookies in the browser and receives the visitor’s IP address, which Google processes in aggregate, without identifying the person by name. This information is not cross-referenced with any other source and is not used for advertising. This measurement can be blocked with a tracker-blocking extension or by disabling third-party cookies in the browser, without affecting the site’s usability. Google’s privacy policy applies.
Blog posts may include embedded YouTube videos. Those embeds are served through the youtube-nocookie.com domain, which does not install tracking cookies until the person chooses to play the video. If it is played, Google’s privacy policies apply.
Outbound links to other sites (GitHub, PortSwigger, social networks) are governed by the privacy policies of each of those sites.
VIII. Changes
Rockysec reserves the right to modify this document in order to adapt it to legislative or case-law developments, as well as to technical changes to the site.
For any question, complaint or suggestion about this document or about data handling: [email protected].
